Add guests without eating into sellable capacity

Guest lists can now sit on top of your sellable capacity instead of reducing it, and you can control which lists appear on the artist settlement. Guest list support is also now available in the native Organizer App.

When you add someone to a guest list, you usually want to give them free entry—not take away a ticket you could have sold. But until now, guest list entries in Opendate counted against your event capacity, which meant every comp reduced your revenue potential. We've changed how this works.

You can now set guest lists to sit on top of your sellable capacity rather than within it. So if your venue holds 500 people and you want to sell 500 tickets, you can—and still accommodate your guest list separately. This means more tickets available to the public, more potential revenue, and no more awkward conversations about whether the promoter's plus-ones are costing you sales.

We've also added controls for artist settlements, so you can choose which guest lists appear on settlement reports and which don't. This makes it easy to show artists exactly who came in on their list without cluttering the report with venue staff, sponsors, or other comps that don't affect their deal. And because guest list management is now built into the native Organizer App, door staff can check people in from their phones without jumping between tools or asking someone back at the office to make changes.
