We’re looking for an experienced seller with deep expertise in the performing arts ecosystem — performing arts centers (PACs), theaters, symphonies, opera and ballet companies, cultural institutions, and university performing arts presenters. You understand the unique operational, financial, and mission-driven needs of arts organizations and can navigate board-driven decision-making, season subscriptions, donor programs, and education initiatives.
You’ll be responsible for executing the sales strategy, building and managing a pipeline, closing major deals, and driving revenue from both new business and expansion. You will report directly to the VP of Sales and partner closely with Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and Finance to drive predictable, scalable revenue growth.
At Opendate, we’re on a mission to help independent venues and cultural organizations run better businesses, keeping their programming alive and thriving. Our journey began when three entrepreneurs built the platform they wished existed. Today, we empower performing arts organizations with modern, integrated tools for ticketing, CRM, fundraising, financial management, and marketing.
Work Environment
Work Model: 100% remote, with flexibility to collaborate in Indianapolis or Chicago quarterly and/or when needed.
Work Travel: 60%+ regular domestic travel for sales meetings, site visits, performing arts conferences, partner events, and quarterly sales off-sites.
Responsibilities

Drive Revenue from New Business and Expansion
- Identify expansion opportunities — new venues, additional programming divisions, multi-department opportunities
- Partner with Customer Success to ensure strong handoff, onboarding, and post-sale foundation for renewals and upsells
Own the System, Not Just the Deals
- Maintain CRM accuracy: activities, stages, forecasts, and notes
- Accurately forecast your pipeline and proactively highlight risks

Contribute to How We Sell
- Track and report key sales metrics: pipeline coverage, win/loss rate, average deal size, sales cycle length, retention
- Partner with Marketing on campaigns, performing arts lists, and follow-up plans for events and conferences
Requirements
- 5+ years of proven sales achievement in a high-growth B2B SaaS company and/or within the performing arts, ticketing, or cultural institution ecosystem

- Proven track record of:
- Building and managing your own pipeline
- Closing net-new logos with multi-stakeholder deals
- Hitting or exceeding quota consistently
- Strong enterprise deal closing experience: multi-year contracts, complex sales cycles, multiple stakeholders
- Highly organized and metrics-aware
- Familiarity with CRM and sales tech stack (Salesforce, HubSpot)
- Excellent communication and executive-level presentation skills
- Comfortable in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment
What You’ll Get
- A remote-first, high-energy environment where your work shapes the future of performing arts operations
- Ownership of your pipeline and influence over our GTM strategy for this vertical
- Significant professional growth opportunities
- Competitive salary + performance-based bonus + equity
