When you program a series, whether it’s a summer festival, jazz season, or four-night residency, fans have traditionally had to buy one show at a time. Someone who wants the whole lineup may go through checkout five separate times, with no simple way to reward them for committing early. Now you can group those shows into a Collection and sell passes and packs across it.
There are two new product types. A Season Pass admits its holder to every eligible show in the Collection with one purchase. A Flex Pack includes a set number of admissions, such as a 3-Pack or 5-Pack, that the buyer redeems for the performances they choose. Both give fans a single checkout.
Once redemption is configured, Opendate creates the necessary admission types automatically. You choose the redemption allotment and per-show settlement value, so each claimed admission is reflected in the appropriate show settlement. You can adjust product capacity after sales begin, schedule price changes, and schedule passes or packs for later delivery. Buyers are notified automatically when their purchase becomes available.
Season Pass holders can add their pass to Apple or Google Wallet and use one barcode across eligible performances. Flex Pack buyers receive a redemption code and get individual tickets for each performance they claim in their Opendate account.
