For most venues, the playbook is simple: sell tickets, sell drinks, repeat. Performing arts centers play a different game. Many of the most successful PACs and nonprofit venues run on a 40/60 model: roughly 40% of revenue from tickets, and 60% from memberships, donations, and programming.
