FAQs

Do I need to set up rules?

No. Personalization happens automatically.

Will every recipient see the same event?

No. Events are selected dynamically per recipient.

What happens if there aren’t any recommended events for an individual recipient?

If the widget runs out of recommended events for a recipient, it will default to upcoming events in order. If it runs out of events in general to populate the template, the email will error. For this reason, we don’t recommend using “Just For You” in the same email that features a large number of upcoming events.

What data powers the “Just For You” selection?

The “Just For You” selection is powered by our artist database. When determining which shows to recommend to a user, we analyze their ticket purchase history within Opendate and look for upcoming similar artists/shows they may be interested in.
